Voice Feminization
To achieve a feminine voice tone, vocal cords are tightened or shortened (Glottoplasty). This procedure is performed with laser through the mouth, with no incision on the neck.
Voice Masculinization
For a deeper and more masculine voice, vocal cords are loosened or bulked up. Usually performed under local anesthesia (Type 3 Thyroplasty), allowing the patient to hear the change during surgery.
