Sinuses are air cavities within the facial bones. Inflammation of these cavities is called sinusitis. Cases lasting longer than 3 months and unresponsive to medication are called **Chronic Sinusitis**.

Symptoms

  • Fullness and pain around the eyes
  • Thick nasal discharge and postnasal drip
  • Loss of smell
  • Chronic fatigue

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)

It is the gold standard in sinusitis treatment today. It is performed through the nostrils using an endoscope (camera). No external incisions are made. Blocked sinus channels are opened, inflammation is cleared, and polyps, if any, are removed.

Risk to critical adjacent organs like the brain and eyes is minimized using navigation technology.
