Why the brow thinned
Active skin, thyroid or alopecia conditions should be assessed first. Transplant planning may need to wait when the cause of loss is not stable.

Doctor-led assessment of brow-loss cause, donor hair, angle and density planning, recovery and long-term grooming in Istanbul.
Eyebrow transplant places selected scalp follicles into the brow as single-hair grafts. A responsible plan assesses the cause and stability of loss, donor-hair match, changing growth angles, realistic density and the possibility of long-term trimming.
Eyebrow transplantation moves selected scalp follicles into the brow as single-hair grafts. A responsible plan covers more than the outline: whether hair loss is stable, the quality of recipient skin or scar tissue, donor-hair thickness and curl, the changing direction from brow head to tail, and realistically achievable density. Suspected active alopecia, thyroid disease or another dermatological cause should be assessed before surgery. Appearance depends on individual anatomy, graft growth and healing; scalp-derived hairs may require ongoing trimming.
“Eyebrow transplant demands artistic precision; I place each graft individually according to the brow’s natural curve and growth direction.”

Eyebrow transplant decision guide
An eyebrow transplant is not simply filling a gap. The cause of loss, donor-hair characteristics, changing growth angles across the brow and long-term grooming all need a single plan.
Active skin, thyroid or alopecia conditions should be assessed first. Transplant planning may need to wait when the cause of loss is not stable.
Native brow hair is fine and lies at a flat angle. Selecting single-hair grafts with suitable thickness and curl helps create a gradual transition.
Hair direction changes from the head to the body and tail of the brow. Planning covers not only outline but also angle and realistically achievable density.
Scalp-derived hairs may grow faster and need trimming. A further session is considered only after growth and density can be assessed.
Useful before travel
Brow shape, visible gaps, broad donor compatibility, a preliminary design and an initial travel pathway.
Confirmed in examination
Whether loss is active, skin and scar quality, the final graft plan, medical suitability and individual risks.
There is no universal stay length. Before a date is confirmed, the team should review medical history, medicines, the cause of brow loss and donor photographs. The surgeon sets flying and first-wash timing individually after the procedure and early check.
The cause of loss, skin or scar quality and donor area are reviewed.
Angle changes across the brow and realistic graft density are mapped.
Early review, growth monitoring and trimming needs are personalised.
Redness, crusting and temporary swelling or bruising around the eyes can occur in the first days. Less commonly, folliculitis, infection, limited growth, asymmetry or hairs growing at an unwanted angle or curl may occur. Scalp-derived hairs may need regular trimming, and an additional session may sometimes be considered.
The cause of eyebrow loss should be assessed first. Active alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia, uncontrolled thyroid or hormonal disease, active skin disease or limited donor supply can reduce suitability. Stable loss, suitable donor-hair characteristics, healthy recipient skin and realistic density expectations matter.
Redness, small crusts and temporary swelling can occur in the first days. Grafts must be protected and aftercare is individual. Some transplanted hairs may shed early; growth is assessed over months, so density should not be judged too soon.
