Defined Follow-up

“Non-surgical facial rejuvenation” is not one treatment. Botulinum toxin targets muscle activity, while dermal filler targets volume and contour; product, dose, site, duration and risk differ. Pain, bruising or swelling can occur, and rare filler vascular occlusion is an emergency. Planning follows diagnosis and examination.

Procedure Overview

Non-surgical facial treatment is not one procedure. Botulinum toxin targets muscle activity, while dermal filler targets volume and contour. Product, dose, treatment site, onset, duration and risk differ. Medical history, previous filler and medicines matter alongside facial analysis. Pain, bruising, swelling and asymmetry can occur; rare filler vascular occlusion can threaten tissue and vision and requires urgent recognition.

“With non-surgical treatments, less and precise is key; my aim is to preserve your expression and give an understated freshness.”

Risks & Candidacy

Possible risks

Botulinum toxin and dermal filler are different procedures. Pain, bruising, swelling, asymmetry and infection can occur with either; toxin may cause eyelid or brow ptosis or unwanted muscle weakness, while filler can cause nodules or vascular occlusion. Sudden pain, skin blanching or discolouration, or a visual change after filler needs urgent assessment.

Who may not be a candidate

Product, dose, site and practitioner safety are assessed separately. Active infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, neuromuscular disease, allergy, medicines and previous filler can alter the plan; duration varies by person and product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it painful?
Discomfort varies by product, site and person. Topical anaesthesia may be used when appropriate, but a pain-free procedure cannot be guaranteed.
How long does it last?
Duration varies with product, dose, site, metabolism and previous treatment. A fixed range is not reliable before the product and treatment plan are known.
Can swelling occur?
Redness, bruising or swelling can occur. Sudden pain, blanching or discolouration, or any visual change after filler requires urgent assessment for vascular occlusion.
I am travelling from abroad. How many days should I stay in Istanbul for non-surgical treatments?
Botulinum toxin, filler and thread procedures do not share one risk or follow-up plan. Bruising or swelling can occur, and signs of filler vascular occlusion need urgent assessment. Stay and review depend on the procedure, product, site and medical history.
When can I fly after the procedure?
No surgical incision does not automatically make immediate flying safe. Procedure type, swelling, product used and access to care for a possible complication are considered; follow the treating clinician's individual travel advice.
Can Botox, fillers and thread lifting be combined in the same session?
Yes, when suitable these treatments can be combined in one session based on your facial analysis; for example Botox for dynamic lines, fillers for volume loss and threads for mild sagging may be addressed together. A combined plan in a single appointment aims for a more balanced result. Which combination is appropriate is decided during the consultation.
Is there an age limit for these treatments, and is an online assessment done before I arrive?
There is no fixed age limit; suitability is based on skin condition, expectations and facial analysis rather than age alone. For international patients an online pre-assessment can be carried out using photographs and health information. This discussion covers possible methods and travel planning, while the final decision is made during an in-person examination.
Since the effects are temporary, how often do I need to return to maintain the result?
Effects are temporary, but duration varies by product, dose, site, metabolism and treatment history. Repeat treatment should not follow a fixed calendar automatically; response, adverse effects and continuing indication are reviewed first.

Post-Procedure

Redness, tenderness, bruising or swelling can affect daily activity. Onset and duration vary by product, dose, site and person. Sudden pain, skin blanching or discolouration, or a visual change after filler requires urgent assessment.
