Primary Rhinoplasty
Primary rhinoplasty assessment in Istanbul that considers nasal appearance, the septum, airway and breathing together.
Rhinoplasty reshapes the bone and cartilage of the nose, addressing appearance and breathing together. The open or closed technique is chosen to suit your anatomy; swelling settles over the first weeks and the final shape refines over months. The plan is individual and an in-person examination is required.
Procedure Overview
Primary rhinoplasty reshapes the nose for aesthetic, functional or combined concerns. Planning begins with facial proportions, nasal support, the septum, airway and breathing. Open, closed, preservation or Piezo-assisted steps may be considered according to anatomy and the work required; no single technique is best for every patient. Piezo is a tool for selected bone work and may reduce some early swelling or bruising measures on average, but it cannot guarantee an individual recovery or result. Goals, limitations, risks and follow-up are discussed after medical history and examination.
“For primary rhinoplasty I assess facial proportions, nasal support, the septum, airway and individual goals together; technique and follow-up depend on examination findings.”

How It Works?
Medical Assessment
History, facial proportions, skin, nasal support, the septum, airway and breathing are assessed together.
Individual Surgical Plan
The scope, open or closed access and any bone work are selected from examination findings.
Follow-up
Splint, wounds, swelling, breathing, activity and travel are reviewed on an individual schedule.
Risks & Candidacy
Possible risks
Like any surgery, rhinoplasty carries risks. Swelling and bruising in the first weeks are expected; less commonly, bleeding, infection, temporary changes in sensation or minor asymmetries during healing can occur. The final shape settles over months, and a small chance of later revision exists.
Who may not be a candidate
Generally suitable candidates are in good health, have realistic expectations and have completed nasal growth. Active infection, uncontrolled chronic illness, bleeding disorders, heavy smoking or unrealistic expectations may limit suitability. The final decision is made through facial analysis and an in-person examination.

Recovery
Swelling, congestion and possible bruising are expected early. The external splint and any sutures are reviewed or removed according to the surgical plan. Visible swelling usually changes over weeks, while tip definition and smaller refinements may continue for months. Return to work, exercise, glasses and flying depends on the operative scope and individual healing.
